In the framework of the impulse approximation we study the photoproduction of the hypertriton ΛH by using realistic He wave functions obtained as solutions of Faddeev equations with the Reid soft-core potential for different ΛH wave functions. We obtain relatively small cross sections of the order of 1 nb. We also find that the influence of Fermi motion is important, while the effect of differe...

Results of large-basis shell-model calculations for nuclei with A = 7 − 11 are presented. The effective interactions used in the study were derived microscopically from the Reid93 potential and take into account the Coulomb potential as well as the charge dependence of T = 1 partial waves. For A = 7, a 6h̄Ω model space was used, while for the rest of the studied nuclides, the calculations were p...

A large Hilbert space is used for the calculation of the nuclear matrix elements governing the light neutrino mass mediated mode of neutrinoless double beta decay (0νββ-decay) of 76Ge, 100Mo, 116Cd, 128Te and 136Xe within the proton-neutron quasiparticle random phase approximation (pn-QRPA) and the renormalized QRPA with proton-neutron pairing (full-RQRPA) methods. We have found that the nuclea...

A method is derived for calculating the pairing kernel in exchange mediated su-perconductors including matrix element effects. Various models for the interaction vertex are considered, including spin exchange, orbital exchange, and quadrupo-lar exchange. As an example, this formalism is applied to U P t 3 using relativistic wavefunctions from a local density band calculation.

The narrow peak recently found in various pionic double charge exchange (DCX) cross sections can be explained by the assumption of a universal resonance at 2065 MeV, called d ′. We calculate the mass of a six-quark system with J P = 0 − , T = 0 quantum numbers employing a cluster model and a shell model basis to diagonalize the nonrelativistic quark model Hamiltonian.
